NEW DISPLAYS
This year the Museum's display at the Villa Park Library was on Depression Glass. Sandi and Bob Dollinger along with Ruth Speder set up the display and it received rave reviews. If you missed it, you can see an even larger display “Depression Glass of the Years” when the Villa Park Historical Museum reopens for the season on April 18th . There you will be greeted by a new colorful collection of Depression Glass. Filling three showcases will be, one each of various patterns of green glass, pink glass and one of opalescent hobnail (or moonstone). We have tried to identify as many patterns as possible so perhaps you will see your pattern. You may also be able to identify a pattern we couldn't so please tell us.
LOOKING FOR FOUNDING MEMBERS
On October 21, 1979 the train station was dedicated as a Museum. At our Annual Meeting and program on October 18th we would like you all to join us to celebrate the
30 th year of our founding.
We would like as many of the founding members who are still in the area to join us and see the changes that have taken place over the years. Many of these members have moved out of town and we have lost contact with them. We are asking for your help in getting addresses so we can send them a special invitation to attend. Please contact the Museum if you have any information. Mark your calendars now and we hope to see you in the fall.
SEEKING CONTRIBUTORS FOR GRANDMA'S ATTIC
We are seeking contributors to make Grandma's Attic a greater success this year than in the past years. As you may know there are many contributors that have gone the extra mile and donated items. They have made a difference
